Hensel

Fire protection with tradition "Made in Germany" - Rudolf Hensel GmbH, founded in 1922 as a paint and lacquer factory in Hamburg, recognised the importance of preventive structural fire protection as early as the 1950s and focused product development on fire-resistant coatings. Current development of the HENSOTHERM® and HENSOMASTIK® coating systems focuses on the environmental friendliness and durability of these products. Hensel has its production and headquarters in Börnsen near Hamburg.

HENSOTHERM® and HENSOMASTIK® are safety products and an essential component of passive fire prevention systems in buildings. They protect human lives, safeguard assets and harmonise technical safety and architectural aspects. Hensel coating systems are approved by building authorities in accordance with DIN 4102 and EN 13501 and have other international certificates, including BS 476, VKF, UL 263 and GOST.

Rudolf Hensel GmbH's wide product range includes certified intumescent and ablative coatings to protect steel, wood, concrete and cables from fire, and to produce seals for wall and ceiling penetrations and fire-resistant joints.

HENSOMASTIK® combi-shot systems

HENSOMASTIK® combi partitions are used as partitions for metal pipes, combustible pipes, aluminium composite pipes and electrical cables to restore the fire safety of wall and ceiling constructions with openings for supply lines. The HENSOMASTIK® Kombischott EI 90 / EI 120 is a system consisting of 2 x ≥ 50 mm thick mineral fibre boards visually coated on the outside with the fire-resistant coating HENSOMASTIK® 5 KS. In the HENSOMASTIK® EI 60 combination bulkhead, a 1 x ≥ 60 mm thick mineral fibreboard is used.

HENSOTHERM® 7 KS

HENSOTHERM® 7 KS is a fibreglass fabric A2 coated on both sides with the fire-resistant coating HENSOTHERM® 7 KS and approved as an insulating building material according to the European standard. The coating is free of halogens, APEO, borates, fibres and plasticisers. With its non-VOC property, it meets the requirements of LEED credit EQ c4.2 and is classified in emission class A+ (very low emission).

HENSOTHERM® 7 KS fabric is used among other things as intumescent continuous pipe sheathing for single penetrations or in HENSOMASTIK® combination penetrations and is available in various widths and designs.
