At the Promens company in Eke-Nazareth, we installed a Sonodamp noise barrier. A battery of condensers installed next to the factory hall produced a noise level of over 80 dB(A). At the nearby residence, this caused the legal maximum noise levels laid down in the VLAREM legislation to be exceeded.
A noise screen made of Sonodamp panels in the colour RAL 1015 was chosen. The screen has a total height of 4 metres and a length of about 30 metres. The upper part of the screen is angled inwards to provide extra screening. The condensers are accessible for service and maintenance via a sound-insulated wicket door. At the bottom, the screen is detached from the ground to ensure sufficient air supply.
A noise reduction of > 11 dB at 1 metre has been realised. At the measurement point near the house, the noise caused by the condensers can no longer be perceived and the nearby E17 trunk road determines the background noise level.
