
Noise reduction in dairy plant
Different requirements apply in food environments than in normal industrial situations. However, ISOPARTNER Netherlands has extensive experience in this area and therefore knew what to look out for when a cheese factory came forward with an acoustic problem in production.
At workstations near the pasteuriser, noise levels of over 80 dB(A) were measured. Near the source, even 85 dB(A) was exceeded.
By opting for a noise barrier made of stainless steel Sonodamper panels, the requirements for durability and hygiene are met. Acoustic and hygienic absorbers were also installed on the source side.
Both near the source and at the workplaces, the noise level is reduced to < 80 dB(A), allowing operators to operate without hearing protection.
